In response to a rising demand in recruitment needs in the animation sector, Rob Doherty is expanding his FESTIVUS brand, launching a dedicated online animation recruitment and community hub, FSTVS.
The aim of FSTVS is simple – to help studios find crew and crew find careers. Its aim is to become the destination for the industry’s animation recruitment needs and the online presence of the FESTIVUS event and community.
From humble beginnings in the back streets of London in the early 2000s, the FESTIVUS community has grown over 20 years, via regular in-person events and an active social media presence, to being a home for animation talent, with over 11,000 global members.
FSTVS is the next stage in expanding this community, answering increased demand for recruitment support across the animation sector, to reach more industry professionals, animation students, and recent graduates, to offer more work opportunities as well as industry specific news, updates, programs, training, mentorships, and offers.
Studios and talent globally will be able to sign up to the FSTVS jobs board which will offer a one-stop shop for crew of all levels and disciplines, with a growing reach across the UK and internationally.
There has been a proliferation in demand for animation talent and crew but a lack of resources aimed specifically at this sector. FSTVS aims to simplify the animation recruitment process, bringing together studios and animation professionals in a shared space where jobs can be advertised and applied for, and industry intelligence can be exchanged.
