The Get Animated 24 Business of Animation conference has announced the final keynotes for ‘In Conversation: A Look at the Future of Our Animation Industry’.
The Get Animated Business of Animation Conference takes place on the 1st and 2nd May 24 at the Millennium Point Conference Centre in Birmingham. Get Animated has announced its final business ‘in conversation’ chat with the UK Screen Alliance and the UK Department for Business and Trade.
Neil Hatton, CEO of UK Screen Alliance, and Tendai Chetse, Head of Creative Industries at the Department for Business and Trade, will take to the stage and discuss the future of digital production in the UK, new tax incentives, and the hype and hysteria around GenAI use in animation and VFX.
It’s been a bittersweet last eighteen months. Some of the worst trading conditions in living memory for film and TV, can now be balanced against renewed optimism as the industry has won a basket of new tax incentives to drive digital production in the UK.
Neil Hatton, CEO of UK Screen Alliance
The creativity and storytelling developed and inspired by UK Animation is loved and admired globally. Amidst the backdrop of a challenging year for the screen sectors as a whole, the UK is nonetheless home to some of the most exciting creators, studios and VFX companies anywhere in the world. Now is the time to build on these strengths to support the next era of production in the digital age.
