The London-based animation studio’s film What is Organ Donation? won a Silver award in the “Under £100,000” category at the Smiley Charity Film Awards 2024.
What is Organ Donation? was made for the charity We Are Donors. The charity is a national network of university student groups working to raise awareness of organ and blood donation, whose mission is to empower young people to make informed decisions about organ and blood donation.
The film tells the story of someone who becomes an organ donor and thereby transforms the lives of others. The compelling narrative educates audiences about the importance of organ donation and its life-saving impact, and also, dispels common misconceptions surrounding the process.
We are immensely proud to receive the Silver award in the “Under £100,000” category at the Smiley Charity Film Awards. This recognition is a testament to our talented team’s hard work, creativity, and passion. This is a considerable achievement in an area which is dominated by live action films. It demonstrates how effective animation can be at telling stories and getting across emotions.
Through our collaboration with We Are Donors, we aimed to demystify the concept of organ donation and encourage meaningful conversations about this critical issue. Winning this award reaffirms our belief in the transformative potential of storytelling through animation.
